SUMMER CAMPS 2017

The summer camps have started !

Every year in August, for the last 15 years, the French Charity PSE (Pour une Sourire d'Enfant) organises "Summer Camps" in Cambodia. In the spirit of vacation centres, this year they will welcome 12,400 Cambodian children from among the most disadvantaged, so as to avoid them falling back into a precarious situation during the holiday season.

THALÈS SUPPORTS PSE

The Thalès group has become our first partner in wage rounding! The 37,000 employees of Thalès can choose PSE and its project to fight school dropouts as the beneficiary of their centimes of wages rounded to a euro each month. This is made possible thanks to Microdon.org (rounding of cash, rounding wages, ...) in which PSE is a registered charity. Do not hesitate to propose to your company that they set up a system of “microdon”!

THE FRENCH AMBASSADOR’S VISIT

We were very honoured to host Mrs Eva NGUYEN BINH, French Ambassador to Cambodia, and Mr Guillaume NARJOLLET, Director of the French Institute in Cambodia & Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs, who visited the Centre on 25th July.

Family Day

The Family Day was held in our centre, in Phnom Penh, on 8 th June. An annual event, this meeting brings together the parents of the children we take care of. The schedule provides an introduction into the PSE programmes, including our vocational training schools and our adult education programme (FLIP)
… it is also an opportunity to spend a festive moment together!

M F des Pallières, Officer of The Legion of Honour!

Marie-France des Pallières has been promoted to Officer of The Legion of Honour!
On Tuesday, 25th April 2017, she received her medal from Jean-Marc Ayrault, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development.
Marie-France has been a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour since 2005.

For over twenty years, PSE has been operating in Cambodia to help children escape destitution and provide them the skills required to get a job. It has been recognised by the Cambodian authorities. The charity respects the country’s traditions and culture and collaborates closely with Cambodians.
